How to toke (tip)

A toke is casino jargon for a tip. Toking isn't a bad thing, and I thought it would be nice to close the chapter on an upbeat note.

There are two ways to tip a dealer: You can simply push him the chip and say, "This is for the dealer." Or you can bet it for him. It adds a bit of excitement when the two of you are hoping for the same outcome.

• Income from gambling is taxable. Losses are deductible only to the extent that they offset winnings. You should keep records of your wins and losses
• Be careful with your money in and near a casino. Be aware of who is around you. Don't carry a lot of cash out to your car without an escort.
